To the Editor:
This year’s Halloween evening gathering at the Memorial School was one of the most crowded ever. The weather was warm, and no rain fell until later in the evening. The youngsters got balloon creations from MO the Clown, pizza and drinks from the kitchen crew, and goodie bags with glow sticks for visibility when trick-or-treating. The supply of food, drinks and goodies were almost wiped out by the youngsters who dropped in to visit the party.
The party would not be possible without the work done by many generous people. Thanks to the following for their support of the party: the Manchester Essex Regional School District for the use of the building; Chief Fitzgerald and his wife Ruth; Manchester Fire Department officers and firefighters Lt. Doucette, FF Calendar, FF Campbell, Lt. Crosbie, FF McDiarmid and FF Porcaro; MERSD students Isabella Leonard, Aidan Cunningham and Lukas Shan; and volunteers Charlotte Towle, Kathleen Dainton, “Doc” Dainton, Marjorie Gove, Fay Noonan, Lillian Muise and Muffin Driscoll.
The event couldn’t have happened without people volunteering to assist others.
The donations to the Halloween Committee have not covered the costs yet, so if your family attended, please consider making a donation to the Manchester Halloween Committee, P.O. Box 1422, Manchester, MA. 01944. Thanks in advance!
