Last week the Manchester-Essex Rotary held its monthly evening meeting at The Antique Table.  Members enjoyed this switch from the weekly breakfast meetings, as monthly meetings tend to be more relaxed and offer more opportunity to hear from speakers.

This edition held a “veterans” theme, and the speaker was Bailey Buchannan, a partner at the law firm of Metaxas, Brown, Pidgeon, LLP in Beverly and founder of Stairs4OurTroops, a non-profit that raises awareness and funds for disabled veterans who need specially adapted homes to live functioning everyday lives.  Another speaker was Paul Sullivan, himself a former president of the M-E Rotary who gave an update on the new Manchester Veteran’s Memorial, a 400-plus-name memorial wall that will replace the existing rock-and-plaque memorial on the Town Common.
