Manchester resident, McCue Corporation President, David McCue Leads Team to Support “A Bed for Every Child”
Employees at McCue Corporation recently huddled with Tuck, the mascot of “A Bed for Every Child”, an initiative of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, to show its support of the program that has distributed beds to over 4,000 children living in poverty in Massachusetts.
A recent study reports one in seven children in Massachusetts is growing up in poverty. One of the ways to break the cycle of poverty is to ensure every child receives an education. A bed is one of the tools that can help to give a child a good night’s sleep, ready to begin his/her day. A Bed for Every Child works to distribute new twin beds to children throughout Massachusetts who do not have a bed of their own.
Along with supporting “A Bed for Every Child”, McCue Corporation has supported Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless at its holiday gift wrapping project at the Cambridgeside Galleria, through a coat drive and employee donations. “Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless is a multi-faceted organization whose mission and work in the local communities aligns with our corporate philosophy and culture,” says David McCue, President.
“We are so grateful to the McCue Corporation for its generous donation. We have responded to the experts that report that a good nights sleep is an essential element of a child’s well-being by delivering over 4,000 beds throughout the Commonwealth,” says Robyn Frost, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.”
