The Hornets won 2 hard fought battles this week to improve to 9-8 on the season. On Tuesday the Hornets hosted Amesbury and fell behind by 8 in the first half. The Hornets turned it around in the third quarter outscoring Amesbury 20-9 and going on to win the game 52-48. Sydney Christopher had 21 points followed by Eliza Logue with 10. Sabrina Pallazola added 7, Fraley Morton and Phebe Biggar each added 5 and Sam Taylor added 4.

On Thursday the Hornets hosted non-league opponent Gloucester and after falling behind in the first quarter went on to tighten up the defense and pull ahead by 7 at the half. The Hornets were able to maintain the lead in the second half despite great shooting by the Fishermen and went on to win the game 50-43. Eliza Logue and Sabrina Pallazolla each had a double double for the Hornets, Logue with 16 points and 14 rebounds and Pallazola with 11 points and 10 boards. Sydney Christopher had 15 points in the effort. Sam Taylor added 4 and Fraley Morton and Phebe Biggar each had 2.

The Hornets will play three games in the last week of their regular season and must win one of the three to qualify for the division 3 state tournament.
